As the 2024-2025 academic year kicks off, we extend a warm welcome to our dedicated community of IT professionals, Educational Technologists (ET), Student Information System (SIS) specialists, and all school support staff. It's an especially exciting year this year, as not only is our premiere event - the Convergence Conference - approaching quickly, but our PLNs are just about ready to launch once more to continue our collaborative Convergence culture throughout the rest of the year.
Embracing Emerging Technologies
This year will continue to present opportunities to explore the integration of emerging technologies that enhance educational experiences. Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to influence personalized learning and administrative efficiency, of course! Esports is levelling up across the province and we're happy to help partners promote this and other inclusive learning opportunities for Alberta students. Staying informed about these developments is essential for the roles of many of us. Where do you think we should go next? Contact Us!
Strengthening Cybersecurity Supports
We're exploring another cybersecurity event in the new year - stay tuned!
Fostering Collaboration and Professional Growth
Our collective expertise is our greatest asset. Engaging in grassroots-led and community-supported professional development and collaborative initiatives across our various stakeholder groups/professional learning networks helps us address challenges effectively and innovatively. Whether you're building AI policy, evaluating PIAs, or wanting to firm up the whys/hows/ways you use data strategically in your district to make a difference for schools, teachers and students, we have got your back.
We look forward to a productive and inspiring school year ahead!
