I love EdTech. I have been involved with educational technology since the beginning of my education. I currently work in Morinville, AB at Four Winds Public School. A couple years ago I went to my principal with the idea of having a STEAM Academy at our school. We had a Dance Academy and a Sports Academy but the idea of a STEAM Academy was something I was passionate about as another option for our students\. In 2019-2020 we had 25 students registered in grade 5 and 6. In 2021-2020 we have 24 students in grade 5, 24 students in grade 6, and 27 students in grade 7-9! I also work with my CO IT department, helping out where needed in my school. Look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and connect!

I am an Education Technology Consultant with EIPS, where I specialize in integrating AI and digital tools to support meaningful learning. With over a decade of experience as a Social Studies teacher and department coordinator, I work alongside school and division leaders to bring technology into the classroom in ways that are thoughtful, ethical, and aligned with educational goals. In my role, I coordinate efforts between IT and instructional teams, ensuring that technology initiatives not only enhance digital literacy and computational thinking but also support educators in empowering students. My work is informed by research in equitable and responsible technology use and I bring hands-on expertise in platforms like Office 365, Google Suite, PowerTeacher Pro, and D2L Brightspace. My mission is to enhance human learning and empower students, equipping them to succeed in a technology-rich world while ensuring that innovation remains inclusive and impactful across our school communities.

I've been working at EICS for over 10 years, coinciding with our initial rollout of PowerSchool. In my role I have been involved in all aspects of student record management including: - Delivering training to staff during our initial rollout and during major upgrades (such as when we changed our gradebook to PowerTeacher Pro) - Coordinating the day to day entry of information into systems such as PowerSchool, PASI and other student record related systems - Building the processes and infrastructure around the population of digital documents into the digital student record (twice, once when we were using Docushare and a new set of processes when we migrated to using PASI digital records) - Designing and building multiple major customizations to PowerSchool, including being 50% of the programming team for the "AB Reports" Suite, used across the province to prepare, manage, and audit the submission of high school grades
